After the passing of Ophir Sunofagun, we rang Ophir Stock Horses in search of a suitable young colt.
We met 'Jack' and instantly knew he would fill the old boys shoes and some.
With bloodlines of the legendary ABBEY, BARRIS, WARRENBRI ROMEO who goes back to REALITY, SCRUMLO VICTORY, who goes back to BOBBIE BRUCE, RED RAY who goes back to CHAN, Jack's pedigree is certainly impressive.
Common sense and Cattle sense.
To bring the cattle in for drenching and marking we must pass Jack's paddock. Cattle sense is certainly in the genes as Jack has a keen eye and is not afraid to try move them about. He even has the sheep checking his whereabouts because he is not afraid to work them too!
The drought took its toll and sadly Jack was sold in 2019. He was just too good a horse to be standing around in his paddock waiting for it to rain again.
We were blessed the family that purchased him love him as much as we did and they now have become our family !! Its so wonderful to get regular updates and pics of Melissa's children sitting on him. You can't teach temperament !!
