OPHIR SUNOFAGUN HSH (Heritage Stock Horse)
After purchasing Alchin Meadows Chantilly Lace in 2009, we were impressed with her unflappable temperament and her willingness to try anything new without fuss.
Alchin Meadows Chantilly Lace has successfully campdrafted, team penned, worked at feedlots and her last achievement before being retired to 'house pet / brood mare' was to qualify as a yellow book Endurance horse. She had an article published in January 2013 Stock Horse Journal - 'Cow horse turns her hooves to Endurance'.
We thank Mick Alchin for trusting us with Ophir Sunofagun HSH (father of Alchin Meadows Chantilly Lace) and proudly announce he will be standing at stud for 2016 season for a limited number of mares.
Mick purchased Sunofagun as a yearling and brought him along steadily to make a mark in the Campdraft circuit. Unfortunately Sunofagun's career was cut short at age 3 due to a bad fall. So sad for a horse with so much talent.
Since arriving here we have noticed that Ophir Sunofagun's temperament is definitely passed onto his progeny. Both Alchin Meadows Chantilly Lace and her daughter Bindaleah Chance are chips of the old block..!!.
Foals born 2015 Bindaleah Bullet and Bindaleah Promise are showing cattle sense at an early age and both have that magnificent temperament.
Ophir Sunofagun HSH (Heritage Stock Horse) is by the legendary Scrumlo Victory who sired 329 registered Australian Stock Horses and is classed as an Impact Sire / Heritage Stock Horse.
Sadly Ophir Sunofagun was laid to rest in April 2016. He will always be remembered as being a true gentleman.
